Dr Robert Mitchell appointed as the Director of Community Disaster Medicine

Disaster Fellowship

The BIDMC Fellowship in Disaster Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Robert Mitchell as Director of Community Disaster Medicine. Based in Seattle Washington, Dr Mitchell has spearheaded some of the most innovative, grass roots programs in Disaster Medicine in the United States. His programs, utilizing community-based veterans as tier-1 disaster responders, as well as local military assets as integral pieces of community disaster preparedness and response, have propelled Dr Mitchell into the upper echelon of community-based Disaster Medicine specialists. We are both honored and fortunate to have him as part of our faculty, and the lead of a new community Disaster Medicine rotation for our fellows in Seattle, Washington.”
